Life has just been happening here at the compound. Kevin is still laid off and I am getting uncomfortably used to him being home. I haven't picked Drake up at school in ages. I haven't had to bring the dogs in or out, or feed them, or make breakfast, or do the dishes. And I am dreading more and more each day the incoming phone call from the apprenticeship. But, I know it'll happen and we'll get by. Every week he's home now is a week longer in 2017. And every week he's home now is tighter and tighter with money. There is a silver lining for sure, but it sure is nice being a complete family and having my best friend home every night!!
So what's been going on?
I took the flannel sheets off the bed!! Obviously I need to clean up the bedside tables though.
Elsa has been here.
And Anna.
Octonauts is the current obsession.
I've been trying to run.
And so has Kevin.
We've been steelheading. It's been a few years since I Spey casted and I enjoyed a cold, childless day swinging flies with my best friend. I didn't catch a fish, but my brother was gracious enough to let me pose with his.
The kids finally got to ski.
Our holiday break has been delightful.
