Daddy and I met in high school at our local ski hill, where we snowboarded together with a big group of friends.

After dating for five years, we finally got married.

And finally, after years of snowmobiling, snowboarding, fishing, camping, backpacking, having fast cars, and spending too much money on beer at hockey games, we decided to grow up and have children.
D-man was born in 2009.
And in 2012, we welcomed our sweet baby girl Kj. She arrived so quickly that we barely got any photos at the hospital.

And then, our family was complete.
I have worked in the medical field since 2003, as a medical transcriptionist and more recently working on the electronic health records system, reporting, customization, troubleshooting. This has allowed me to work from home some with the kids, as well as work in the office with other adults (which I am sooo grateful for).
Home office
Daddy started working at a car dealership right out of high school, first as a lot attendant, then as a lube tech, and very quickly he became a mechanic. He worked as a GM mechanic for over ten years, when suddenly we realized (after GM filed bankruptcy and changed the way the mechanics got paid, which translated to A LOT less money and A LOT more pressure to shortcut work), that being a mechanic was not something that daddy should do for the rest of his employable years.
Mechanic work
After years of contemplating things like timing, money, our relatively simple life, we decided the best plan of action was to dive head first into what he wanted to do, and in January 2014 he started at Avista's Line Constructor school.
In August 2014, he was indentured with Northwest Line JATC.
