Another daddy visit

Kevin's still down by Dayton and is building steel structures for a new 500 line.

The kids and I drove down to hang out with him since he had Saturday school and then had to leave early Sunday to go to Camp Rilea. Because we're staying in the camp trailer, the kids automatically thought we were camping and then instantly everything was more fun.

The drive is so much easier than going to southern Oregon. It's literally like a hop, skip, and jump away.

We did a good job filling the trailer up when we got there, but Kevin loved every second of it.

Saturday Kevin had a meeting in Richland before his class in Pasco so we dropped him off and found a laundromat to do his laundry. The kids did great, thanks to the iPad and breakfast. Thankfully, there was only one other friendly gentleman there who had a grandson the same age as Kj, so that was nice.

After the laundromat, we headed to the car wash. The kids had never been in one with the cloths that spin around, so they were totally excited and scared, but they loved it.

After the car wash, we hit the mall and got some clothes for their trip to Disneyland. Then, off to the park!!

After Kevin got done with class, we drove through Walla Walla, which is about an hour away from where Kevin's staying, and had dinner. Then, we went back to the trailer to hang out. I think that's the part Kevin enjoys the most, having his family in the little trailer with him.

There are quite a few "families" staying in his RV park with linemen working the same job and it's hard for him to drive into the RV park everyday and see the kids running around playing and him having to go to his empty trailer. He misses his kiddos running around. It's so sad. We're hoping eventually we can stay with him a little bit more, but we have to get there financially first.

Sunday, we had to get up early to clean up the trailer and hit the road. Kevin had to leave in the late morning to head to the Oregon Coast for Camp Rilea and we had to head home.

The drive home was super. We drove to Little Goose Dam so Drake could see a dam and then stopped at Palouse Falls to see the big waterfall. It's so nice being so close to home!!

These giant cliffs make a mama NERVOUS!

A couple more stops and we were home!!

Kevin is at camp for ten days, then home for a couple days, then has Saturday school, and is supposed to be back to the Dayton job on Monday. We have no idea how long he'll be down there, but we're hoping for more hop, skip, and jump visits in the coming months! It is so so much nicer than an 11 hour drive to see him!!

Cheers!
